Transmission Melancholia reflects on infrastructures that continue to transmit long after their original ideals have faded.

With no obvious signs of human life, visual and sonic signals are transmitted between two architectural landscapes, as if the two are in communication with one another. What connects these sites is the defunct satellite, Telstar 1, operating as a kind of intermediary and forming a constellation.

Here, technological relics are not dormant, but continuing to transmit quietly.
